“Bridal interview with Diane”
Please take a moment to read the interview with Diane of
Eventful Happenings.
1.
How long
have you been doing wedding planning and how did you become a wedding planner?
I’ve been a wedding planner for seven years.
I love to plan and coordinate events – always have. I have been doing corporate events
for 20+ years, but a friend at work was getting married and asked my advice on
things. I helped her with various
pieces of the wedding and the rest is history. I fell in love with the brides,
the weddings (and yes I still get teary at weddings) and the process of seeing a
dream come to life. It’s a happy
time and when it’s all over for the day, I can still say that I love what I do.
2.
We love your wedding planning
services and your portfolio.
3.
Everything sounds wonderful. Can you tell us what sets you
apart from the other wedding planners?
No one else can put the exact same spin on how I design, plan
or coordinate. When you hire me, you
get the advantage of my expertise in the industry, my relationship with my
network of vendors and how we work together to make your wedding flow
seamlessly. You might ask “aren’t
all planners the same in what they will do for me?” The answer would be yes and no. Yes, we are all trained to do our
jobs and learn the “this or that” involved and for the most part, the nuts and
bolts of the business are pretty much the same with each of us. The “no” would be while I may admire
and respect my fellow wedding planners, I will never be them, nor will I try. I can only be me. My personality and whether or not we
“match up” are just as important as my skills and knowledge.
4.
This all sounds so wonderful, but are we going to be able
to afford this?
Once we sit down together and find out if we’re a
good match and what package fits your personality, style and budget best, the
rest will fall into place. Services
5.
Will I lose control of my wedding?
Never at any time do you lose control of the wedding
planning process. We are there to
help you plan your wedding day by giving you options and offering advice when
needed. This is YOUR wedding day and
we will do all within our power to make it magical for you both.
6.
Will you work with my chosen vendors?
Yes - I enjoy working with different vendors. It helps me broaden my network and
expand my knowledge.
7.
Do you accept credit cards?
Do you have a payment plan?
To help out my clients, I offer a monthly payment
plan as well as credit cards using PayPal.
The monthly payment plan is calculated on the chosen package amount minus
the nonrefundable retainer then divided by the number of months remaining until
the wedding.
8.
Do you do more than one wedding per day?
I prefer to give each couple individual attention on
the day of their wedding and after should they have an after brunch scheduled. Therefore, while my staff may be
handling another wedding, I only do one per weekend.
9.
This
